No separate power button is required.
Once the battery is inserted, the device enters standby mode and is ready for immediate use. The voice coil only energizes when the Activator Button is pressed. -
Place the vibrating surface of the Parlez™ against your neck or use the included oral adapter.
Press and hold the Activator Button while articulating your speech.
Release the button to stop sound output. -
Both Volume and Tone are adjustable at any time using the control interface.
All settings are clearly shown on the built-in LED display for easy visibility. -
Parlez (18350 battery): Typically 8–12 hours of active use
Parlez XL (full-size 18650 battery): Up to 30 hours per charge

Yes. An oral adapter is included for users who prefer intraoral placement or who cannot achieve adequate neck surface coupling.

No. The device is not waterproof and should not be submerged.
However, the Parlez™ was engineered with enhanced moisture resistance compared to many traditional electrolarynx designs.
It is designed to better tolerate everyday humidity, skin moisture, and normal handling—while still avoiding water exposure. -
This may occur if neck placement is not optimal or if the battery is low.
Try repositioning the contact surface, increasing volume, or switching to the oral adapter. -
All devices are assembled, inspected, programmed, and tested in San Antonio, Texas.
Troubleshooting Guide
No vibration or no sound output
Confirm the battery is installed correctly.
Replace or recharge the battery.
Press and hold the Activator Button firmly during speech.
If using the oral adapter, verify it is fully seated.
Weak sound, muffled output, or inconsistent clarity
Try repositioning the device on a different area of the neck.
Increase volume using the control interface.
Check the LED display to confirm settings are not extremely low.
If needed, switch to the oral adapter for improved coupling.
Device vibrates but no sound is produced
This usually indicates poor tissue coupling.
Try:relocating contact position
increasing pressure slightly
switching to the oral adapter
Confirm battery charge level is above 25%.
Device does not respond to button press
Ensure the battery cap is fully tightened.
Replace the battery with a freshly charged one.
Check for debris on battery contacts.
Try a second battery if available.

Limited Warranty (Summary)
Elogio Speech Technologies provides a 2-year limited manufacturer warranty for the Parlez™ and Parlez™ XL electrolarynx devices, covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal intended use.
